Heat mats are perfect for Childrens pythons as their primary heating.
You can use them for big lizard enclosures for secondary added heat only!
Do not use heat mats for lizards as the only heating!!!!!
Heat mats are also good for geckos.
you can also use the 5 watt or 7 watt heat mats for scorpions or spiders but we recommed putting the heat mat on the side of the cage not the bottom as scorpions and spiders like to dig down when it gets to hot.
